Constant legislative developments place greater financial and reporting responsibilities upon directors, and more often we are seeing businesses fall into financial difficulties as a result.
More concerning is that in many cases, the company directors are not even aware their firm has been spiralling downward and falling victim to this strict reporting regime.
Often by the time the true exposure is identified the only remaining option is insolvency and, in many cases, substantial personal liabilities being imposed on directors, thereby exposing family homes and other assets.
